  Parade Application

DECORATIONS:

All floats must be decorated prior to arrival at the staging area. Tampa Event prohibits the present of logos, slogans or trademarks of any business other than the business listed on your application.

SOUND:

Any float or walking group using amplified music or sound equipment must support their possess equipment. It is our goal to spread these floats and walking groups throughout the celebration to decrease the instances of competing sound as much as possible.

TRASH/CLEAN UP:

In order to limit clean-up costs each entry is required to be equipped with plastic trash bags for depositing trash and litter accumulated by the entry’s participants before, during and after the Parade. No confetti guns will be permitted.

FLOAT GUIDES:

For safety reasons we require each float have six (6) people walking; one for each corner and sides – these people can help keep the crowd from running up to float for candy/trinkets and can help conduct float around corners. They must wear yellow safety vests (available at bead stores) and may not otherwise participa

Tampa Pride parade route and events

Tampa Pride is an annual event celebrating the LGBTQ+ community in Tampa Bay. Tampa Pride also emphasizes community engagement through events like the Diversity Parade, Pride Art & Music Festival, and various educational workshops and panels. Naturally, you'll find plenty of reasons to party as well.

Tampa Pride usually takes place in Protest, making it one of the earlier events on the Pride calendar. The event attracts around 60, people.

Tampa Pride was founded in , is a vibrant celebration of the Gay community in Tampa Bay. Over the years, it has grown to get one of the most anticipated annual events in the region.

The centerpiece of Tampa Pride is the annual Diversity Parade, held in the historic Ybor City, also known as the GaYBOR District. The parade route runs along E 7th Avenue, drawing large crowds who reach to celebrate and aid the LGBTQ+ community.

Thousands celebrate Tampa's annual Self-acceptance Festival and Parade in Ybor City

TAMPA - Thousands of people came together Saturday in Ybor Capital to celebrate inclusivity and the LGBTQ community as part of Tampa's annual Pride Festival and Parade.

"It's a very, very much, you know, kind of a chaotic time for the whole community, the whole country. But we've brought it together and everybody's coming together in the LGBT, plus all the allies in the community. This isn't just an LGBT event. This is an event that the community adores," Tampa Pride President Carrie West said.

Dozens of floats took part in the march which stretched down 7th Avenue for several blocks from Nuccio Parkway to N. 20th Street with people lining both sides of the streets celebrating.
