Seeing more gay short film

See You Soon

See You Soon is inspired by my personal life while getting to know someone that I matched with on a dating app.  And the palpable connection we formed despite the distance, time, and existence separating us. When we were finally able to have a weekend together in person, I found myself able to permit my guard down in a way I never had before. I came of age later in life. I was nearing my mids, and it was the first time that I’d ever been able to truly lose my self in the wonder of intimacy. But as the weekend came to an end, I had to grapple with the double-edged swords of attachment, vulnerability, and a extended distance relationship. It was a pivotal moment in my coming of age.  As I discovered not only my capacity to love, but my capacity to be loved.

I want to relate a story that captures the innately unique tension we meeting after doing that work

With Observe YOU SOON, I’ve sought to put a relationship on screen that isn’t impeded by the typical setbacks that we’ve seen frequently addressed in LGBTQ+ cinema. The tension doesn’t hinge upon a gay character’s tense

Best Gay Shorts [and Where to Watch Them]

There are so many gay-themed concise films out there, but many of them are a waste of day, either because the filmmaking is shoddy or the storytelling is dated. [That said, there are brief films made shoddily that transcend their flaws and become camp. And there are dated films that become significant because they are great reflections of the times they were made in. So all these is pretty subjective, if you ask me.]

I decided to put together an alphabetical list of gay short films I've loved/liked/appreciated for some reason, all of them at least I've ⭑⭑½-starred. [This rating is above average for me.]

For my purposes, this is a list of narrative/fictional quick films, but experimental concise films are also included. However, to keep the list manageable, I've decided not to include brief subject documentaries [with some special exceptions] and womxn loving womxn short films [also with one special exception]. I am also not including titles I've not seen, so this is adorable much a curated list. [Suggestions, however, will be highly appreciated

20 Gay Short Films Everyone Should See

&#;I&#;m not sure that these are the greatest LGBT films ever,&#; says Jon Gann. &#;To me they are significant. I like them because they are about the entire community. In some of the stories, the LGBT portion is very miniature, but the LGBT component is really critical to how the story unfolds.&#;

Since , just prior to the Oscars, we&#;ve occasionally lay together lists of &#;25 Gay Films Everyone Should See.&#; When it came time for this year&#;s list, we thought we&#;d hand feature films a break and rotate our attention to an oft-neglected, but much beloved category &#; the concise. And who excel to curate our mini-festival for us than Gann, executive director of DC Shorts, which, every fall, stages a massive, citywide shorts festival. Gann (see profile, page 20) unearthed 20 LGBT nuggets for us to review, and while, as with any collection of shorts, the quality varies considerably, the collection as a whole captures the entire gamut of the LGBT experience.

The beauty of a short film &#; most of which range from 2 to 20 minutes &#; is that
