All of our support volunteers identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ family, and are here to work the entire group, by providing free & confidential peer-support, information, and local resources through national hotlines and online programs.

Proud Connections Mentors

Proud Connections Mentors programme pairs LGBT+ young people with trained LGBT+ adult mentors for regular online encourage sessions. The programme is open to LGBT+ youthful people aged 16 – 19 (up to 25 with additional needs) across the UK.

      There can be times when using the phone to detect support might not feel harmless or comfortable.

      We provide a confidential space online. Here you can link with a trained LGBTQIA+ peer support volunteer to have a web-based conversation. We discuss many different issues and concerns including, but not limited to, coming out issues, gender and/or sexuality identities, relationship concerns, bullying, workplace issues, HIV/AIDS anxiety, safer-sex communication, suicide, and much more. 

      Along with peer support, listening, and assertion, our volunteers can access the largest LGBTQIA+ resource database of its kind in the planet () to provide additional resources.
